Reasons That Lead To The Email Attachment Problems

Many a times, users call up tech support services to resolve issues related to their email programs. One of the most commonly encountered issues related to email applications is the inability to receive attachments in emails. In such cases, it is always recommended to contact genuine tech support services like Omni Tech support team to get the best assistance.

According to the support guides offered by Omni Tech support service, there can be different reasons that can make you unable to receive an attachment.

Insufficient storage space

In most of the cases, the less storage space in email programs lead to issues where the users find it difficult to receive attachments in emails. If this is the reason, the person sending the email would often get a response back from the recipient’s email server that his/her mailbox is full or has exceeded the allocated size. In such cases, it is often recommended to use email applications that have more storage space.

Size of the attachment

The size of the attachment definitely plays a key role. All email providers do not allow their users to send and receive emails with large attachments. So, if your attachment file size is more, it is advised to post the file using an online service to store the data.

Malware issues

Sometimes, the attachment issues in your email program can also be due to the presence of a malware in your system. Hence, it is always better to run an antivirus program in your system to detect the virus or Trojan. This is because the presence of such malware content can make the email program reject the incoming of messages containing attachments. At any point of time, you can also refer the support guides offered by the Omni Tech support team to get more information on fixing this issue.

Attachment extension not allowed

Certain computer viruses and malware get distributed through email and due to this reason several email service providers and email programs prevent certain file extensions from being distributed. Some of the file extensions disabled by several email providers include: .ad, .adp, .crt, .ins, .mdb, .mde, .msc, .msp, .sct, .shb, .vb, .wsc, .wsf, .cpl, .shs, .vsd, .vst, .vss.

Email provider doesn’t allow attachments

Sometimes, certain email providers and companies do not allow emails with any file attachments to be sent or received by the users. Most of the providers consider this as a precaution to not let the information from being leaked out.

These are some of the main reasons that led to the email attachment issues. To get more assistance on the same, you may contact the Omni Tech support team.

Why You Should Try OmniTech Support

Computer support is something many people rely heavily on, and I’m one of these people. It’s easy to imagine how frustrating it gets when your computer has issues which you can’t fix. This is compounded if said issues keep you from getting important work done, or catching a bit of relaxation. It’s mostly the former that has people calling technical support over the phone.

Sure most of these problems can be solved if you look up a fix on the internet, as people do a lot of the time. But sometimes it’s too much trouble to go to, and it’s more useful and reassuring to have someone else to call. Of course they would need to be a professional to know ways around and through your computer troubles. This is exactly what you can be sure of when calling OmniTech support. This technical support provider has a panel of qualified experts available round the clock to deal with all kinds of problems you might encounter on your computer.

My personal experience with the company has been extremely satisfying ever since my first call. So much so that I’ve defaulted to calling them each time my PC starts giving me problems. There are few things as soothing as a calm, knowledgeable voice guiding you, especially if you’re close to pulling out your own hair by the chunks. The technicians at OmniTech support are always courteous, probably a far cry from your neighborhood support guy. I’m guessing because mine happens to be outright rude at times.

Every time I call OTS, I relate the problem I’m having in as few words as possible, so that I don’t start ranting. Whoever’s at the other end assures me they’ll fix this fast, and would I incidentally be interested in remote assistance? I always choose this option, because it feels better using the computer only after it’s been fixed. I’m sure many would relate.

There is no OmniTech scam to be worried of, and if anyone suggested otherwise, I’d laugh them out of the room. OmniTech is as close as you can get to a computer fairy godmother. Of course, you have to pay because no one works for free, but I write that off as trivial compared to how useful they are. The latter is enough to keep me from considering the possibility of an OmniTech scam. Doubters, meanwhile, can check out the extolling reviews online.

In the era where computers and internet have took over the world, it is crucial to know all about computers. However, the technology is developing at such a fast pace that you remain technologically inept over the weekend, once a new technology is released. In such circumstances, it is required to have a partner by your side, who can teach you how to operate the different features of a computer and will take over and repair your computer in case of some issue. This is where tech support services come in.

The guides are written in plain and concise English so that the user can easily understand the instruction set and then carry out the troubleshooting process on their own.

However, at times, some issues are extremely hard and require the need for an experienced individual to make the changes. In order to facilitate this service, OmniTech services have a hotline number that enables the user to interact with a technical support executive. These support executives are capable of diagnosing your computer in order to determine the issue and then troubleshooting them using remote access.

Most users who have either switched over to Windows 8 or are in the process of doing the same from their old PCs face a common issue i.e. transferring files to the Windows 8 system. Although it is quite a simple process as stated by the Omni tech support team, many users face issues while attempting to move data from their Windows XP or 7 computers to the latest Windows 8 systems.

If you are using a Windows 7 system, the computer would already have an option by the name Windows Easy Transfer. However, if you’re using older versions like Windows Vista or XP, you would require downloading and installing this program to transfer files to the Windows 8 system. As it is evident from several OmniTech support reviews posted by users, most of them either fail to install the Windows Easy Transfer or fail to run it successfully. Once you’ve have installed the program, it would automatically get started.

As mentioned above, a Windows 7 computer already comes with this option and all you require is to click on the start button and type the program’s name and then click on the search result. Once the program is opened, you can click on the Next button and you’ll be directed to a screen where there would be two options that ask you to choose the option of how you wish to transfer your data. If you’re having a USB flash drive, you can click on the first option to be directed to a new screen where Windows will ask you if it is your old or new computer. Here, make sure you click on the This is my old computer button. At any point of time, you can also dial the Omni tech support number or check some of the OmniTech support reviews, where users have posted details about transferring data to their Windows 8 systems.

After saving the required data in the USB flash drive, you can move onto the new Windows 8 computer. At the Windows 8 Start Screen, type in Windows Easy Transfer, open it and click on the Next button. Here, you will get three options on the screen, asking you what do you want to use to transfer items to your new computer. Select the option that says USB flash drive and then click on This is my new PC button. Now, insert your USB flash drive into the Windows 8 computer and start transferring the information.

By following this method, you can successfully transfer data from your old PC to the new Windows 8 system. To get more assistance on the same, you may also contact the Omni tech support team.

What To Do When Go Daddy Will Not Work In Outlook

If you work in an office, you probably use Microsoft Outlook to send and receive emails. Majority of office work is accomplished from the email client program itself. However, you will notice that you will not receive emails from your GoDaddy email account in Outlook. Outlook 2000 will not work with Go daddy unless you make certain changes to the email client. Do not heed to OmniTech Support scam that advise you to download third party application to make these changes.

Certain tweaks can be done to your Outlook email client in which you will have to change the ports used by Outlook to send and receive messages. Upon doing so, you will be able to troubleshoot the issue and receive GoDaddy emails in Outlook. GoDaddy’s SMTP relay system uses "25," "3535" or port "80" when sending email messages. Most of these ports are usable with the exception of “25” which is blocked by some Internet Service Providers.

Here’s how you change the port numbers in the Microsoft Outlook support account setup screen:
  • Open Outlook program using the Start menu. When the email client loads up, click on the Tools menu which lies on the top of the screen and then click on Accounts.
  • Click on the Mail tab and then select your GoDaddy email account from the list of email accounts you have set up in Outlook. Click on the Properties button to make further changes.
  • Click to enter the Advanced tab and type in 3535 into the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text field. This setting will lie under the Server Port Numbers heading.
  • Navigate to the incoming mail server port field and then check if the port number is set to 110. If not, do so inside the Incoming Mail (POP3) text field.
  • Click on the OK button and then click on the Tools menu. From inside the new set of instructions, click on Send/Receive and then Send/Receive All.
  • Check if you are able to send and receive emails. If you are not able to do so, repeat the steps above and then try changing the port to 80 and try again.
If you follow these set of instructions to the word, you will be able to change the port settings of Microsoft Outlook 2000 and receive GoDaddy emails. If not, you can contact our tech support team and make sure you do not contact OmniTech Support scam. Outlook support will not work with Go Daddy unless you change the port settings. Hence, it is advisable to seek assistance from our support engineers if you are unable to make the required changes all by yourself.

One of the main prerequisites for installing the update for Office 2011 in your Mac-book is to have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later version and an Office for Mac 14.1.0 or later. Problems With The Touchpad In Windows 7

Even now, with end of mainstream support looming just months ahead, Windows 7 is the most popular operating system in the world. People can’t get over how easy it is to work with the OS. However, in the meantime, focus among Windows devices has shifted from the keyboard-and-mouse combo to touch screen, with the swipe motion now an integral action. Computer manufacturers are heavily capitalizing on the growing popularity of Android and iOS devices.

Not to be left behind, Microsoft plunged right into the tablet market early on. The first move was when they tied up with Synaptic to standardize common type and touch gestures. When they launched Windows 7, there was included compatibility for the latest generic Synaptic driver at the time. But, the seamlessness was more or less lost when you moved on to Windows Phone. Then you have to contend with driver problems.

The move towards future

Browsing loads of websites is no more a matter worth mentioning these days. It’s the reason why many of us buy tablets and smartphones in the first place. Windows 7 computers too are useful in this regard. There is a problem however, that users face with the touch pad in the OS. This usually traces back to having the generic driver from Synaptic, instead of a using a specific version.

Sometimes users are unable to troubleshoot their touchpad problems in this operating system. Your device can be customized in many ways, and there are multiple options to assist in this. Yet sometimes, it is required to have a technical expertise to fix some of the peskier problems. This is when it’s best to have the benefit of tech support, and of the experienced and qualified team.

If you are past the support lifetime of your product and the manufacturer no longer offers free support, your only option is to get paid support. But if that is the case already, then why not consider alternative providers. Some of them would probably charge less for comparably satisfactory services, and give your money’s worth in support and assistance.

The most commonly preferred form of tech support today is online, as it is fast, reliable, and effective, and more to the point, convenient. We offer the best on-going support for your Windows PC, including security checkups and system optimization. We also give support for Office suite applications, and help with your driver installation problems. Call our hotline number and set up a live chat session with our technical expert.

Patches Imminent For Windows 8.1 Upgrade Problems

There are plenty of Windows 8 and Windows 8 RT users now, who are wrestling with the Windows 8.1 upgrade, much like those who deliberated whether and how to upgrade to Windows 8. There is a new automatic update from Microsoft, intended to help with the problem. The company has a patch they are trying out for Windows RT, in limited markets, and are planning to roll these out elsewhere.

The pilot program works in a way much similar to the Windows 8.1 update. It will automatically revise the existing Windows 8 or RT installation, by bringing in Windows 8.1 update and Windows RT 8.1 update, respectively. Again, this is only for users in select markets.

Availability of the Patch

Originally, the Windows 8.1 update was only available from the Windows Store, and there was no other place to get it. This brought in issues from failed downloads, which caused updating errors. Many users could not get the update to install once downloaded, and Microsoft neglected then to prepare workarounds for this scenario.

The current update is one, however, which does its trick by setting up users’ devices to upgrade automatically through the Windows Update. For a user to update now, they can check the Windows Store for available updates. There is also the alternate RT version of Windows 8.1 available for download from Microsoft’s official support website. This version can be installed straight off.

Uptake

Despite Windows 8.1 being a far better sight than the original Windows 8, and despite all the trouble to get it out there, the former is perceived as little more than a rebound from the latter. This isn’t lost on Microsoft, who are pushing fast ahead with their plans for Windows 9. This OS reportedly brings back the much-loved Start menu.

In the works

Microsoft’s frenzied efforts for patching the Windows 8.1 update process reportedly delayed the release of Windows 9, but they are now free to release a preview for Threshold, which is slated for fall this year.

Although a different adaptation of Windows, the Threshold OS does not stick to gratifying mobile device users the way its predecessor did. Most of the UI will reportedly be configured for the keyboard-and-mouse crowd. What it mainly retains from Windows 8 are the Metro apps.

That was some information on Windows update options. For help on how to upgrade to Windows 8 or 8.1, call our tech support team and we will walk you through the process.

Using A Common Microsoft Id For Different Services Online

Dealing with multiple usernames and passwords is one of the main difficulties of our digital lives. Those tech security experts keep telling us to use hard-to-identify passwords for security reasons, and as a result, we often find ourselves in a spot where we cannot remember the complicated passwords. Though password recovery seems tricky, in the case of Microsoft accounts, you can just contact the Windows Live technical support personnel and ask for their help in resetting your password.

Use a single account for multiple online services

The latest trend is to use the same account for different online services. Many service providers now include this option for their new users. Already, you can use the same account for different Microsoft and Google services. You can use your Gmail ID for YouTube, Google Drive, etc. Similarly, the same Microsoft account can be used for Outlook, Skype, Bing, etc.

You can use a single ID and sign up for an online service by linking it to your Microsoft or Google account. This reduces the number of usernames and passwords you have to remember. One of the best options here is to use a Microsoft ID, as you can use it not just for the online services, but also for your Windows operating system on your laptop, PC, or tablet.

You can use an already existing Microsoft ID for this. If you are using any of the Microsoft services like Outlook webmail, OneDrive, Bing, or Skype, then you can use the same ID for validating a Windows OS. If not, you can sign for a Microsoft ID online. Just go to the Microsoft Live website and click on the sign up link there.

When you click on the link, you will be directed to a new webpage, where you will see an option for linking one of your existing accounts for online services like Gmail or Yahoo to start a Microsoft account. This means you do not have to create yet another online account. However, you do not want to use this option, just fill up all the details in the text fields provided on the webpage to sign up for a new Microsoft account.

When done, you can now access all the Microsoft online services and link your Windows OS by using the Microsoft ID login option in your OS. If you have any doubts regarding the Microsoft ID setup, feel free to contact Windows Live technical support for assistance.

Installing And Sharing Apps In Windows 8 OS

Microsoft has introduced many changes in the Windows 8 operating system. Many of these changes were made specifically so that the Windows operating system could catch up with its counterparts. Some of these changes were designed to put the Windows 8 devices one-step ahead of Mac operating system devices, iPad and the Android devices. The Charms Bar of the operating system that has built in sharing features is a good design change.

Before the release of the Windows 8, users only had one way to share items on Facebook and Twitter. In simple words, users had to open a web browser and then make use of the service’s system to share videos, photos, and the status updates with their contacts and friends. It appears that when the Microsoft engineers examined the habits of the users before making Windows 8, they realized that millions of users across the globe were all finding different ways of doing the same thing and at times, those ways were not as straight forward as they could be.

The new way of sharing that is introduced by the Windows 8 operating system has made many Windows users to Install Windows 8 operating system in their computers. Before starting, it is important that you have the Windows 8.1 update installed on your computer. If you have not yet installed it, you can head to the Windows Store by clicking or tapping on the Store icon on the Start Screen. You will be able to see a banner asking you to install the Windows 8.1 update. Click on it and follow the instructions to install the update.

Sharing things like links, web pages, and images work exactly the same way as taking screenshots. To do this, open the app that you would like the share from. In Windows 8, Internet Explorer is the default web browser. After locating what you would like to search, place your finger on the right edge of the screen and swipe to the left if you are using a touch-enabled device. If you are using a mouse and keyboard, place your cursor on the top right corner of the screen to reveal the Charms Bar. Now, you can click on the Share button and then select the app that you would like to share.

These are the steps to install Windows 8 apps and share them. For further help, you can contact our tech support team.

Microsoft Extends Installation Date For Windows 8.1 Update 1

Recently, Microsoft announced that the company has extended the deadline for installing the Windows 8.1 update 1 by 30 days for the existing Windows 8 users. So, the users who haven’t still upgraded to Windows 8.1 will get the next patch updates along with the main update. The “Update 1” for Windows 8.1 is focused on making the operating system more user-friendly and simpler for the users.

When Windows 8 was launched around two years ago, many users did not know how to upgrade to Windows 8. Issues like these heavily affected on the sales of the operating system and made users to rely on the older versions. Microsoft did not want Windows 8.1 to have the same fate as of its predecessor and thus, the company included several user-friendly apps as well as basic features in the OS that were excluded in Windows 8. Now, by releasing an update of the Windows 8.1 operating system, Microsoft wants to ensure that the users stick on with the Windows community and get access to various futuristic options rather than complicated features. Windows 8.1 also offers enhanced security features, which ensures better protection for the system.

However, once the first Windows 8.1 update was released, several users expressed their concerns over installing the platform in their systems. According to the Windows tech support team, mostly those users who did not know how to upgrade to Windows 8 earlier were the ones with the same issue with the new update. However, Microsoft claims that updating Windows 8.1 is a relatively simple process. And this is the very reason why the software giant has now extended the installation date for the Update 1. Nevertheless, even this might not help in the sales of Windows 8.1, as surprisingly, some users have decided to not to update their systems at all without any particular reason.

Microsoft posted on the official site confirming the news about the extension of the installation date for Windows 8.1 update, and said that although the update has been made available to all, not everyone has installed it. In order to give them more time, the company has extended the install date for Update 1 of Windows 8.1 by 30 days. By extending the date for installing the Windows 8.1 update, it is certain that Microsoft is foreseeing a great improvement in the sales of Windows 8.1 OS.

Procedure To Remove WhiteSmoke Virus

Viruses are probably the most annoying creations of sadistic minds. They’re purely intended to create problems and irritate people. A virus is actually an executable malware. When you accidently click on it or when the virus is executed through one of many available means, it generally shows a tendency to replicate by inserting copies of itself. The copies can probably be present as modified versions. These copies then spread into other computer programs, data files, or even the boot sector of your hard disk.

WhiteSmoke virus is one such annoying virus that has been created to PC users all around the world.

Actually, it is quite similar to or related to WhiteSmoke translator, which is a presented as translation software enabling you to take any text, from any text-based application. Then this text is automatically translated into a destination language. Though it might be highly capable of returning high quality translations, it has also been reported to install Trojans on the victim's computer, and cause annoying redirections to unwanted websites. This is probably not the only unwanted activity of this ostensibly harmless software. After installing it, you may see that a WhiteSmoke toolbar has made an unsolicited entry in your PC.

How is WhiteSmoke virus infecting your PC?

There are many websites which are legitimate, that do the work of promoting WhiteSmoke translator. The problem here is that most of them do not know that WhiteSmoke virus is present along with the WhiteSmoke translator, bundled with the freeware. Once this virus gets inside your computer system, then it starts its annoying activities immediately. There are various icons like are named as Improve Your PC. When you click on this icon, they redirect users to questionable websites having been found to promote other malicious applications. Apart from that, WhiteSmoke virus replaces user's default start page to WhiteSmoke in Internet Explorer, and then it manipulates search results and cause various pop up advertisements to appear. That is the reason why many security experts have started to list this software as 'Potentially Unwanted and Undesirable'. Here are some instructions for WhiteSmoke toolbar removal.

WhiteSmoke toolbar removal procedure

For uninstalling WhiteSmoke toolbar manually, you can take the following steps.

For Internet Explorer

You need to open IE.
Go to Internet Options.
After that, you need to choose Programs and click on Extensions.

Mozilla Firefox

You need to launch the Firefox browser.
After that, go to Add-ons menu, for deleting the WhiteSmoke virus.

Follow this procedure through and you’ll be able to discard the WhiteSmoke toolbar without any problems.

Touch Interface Not Good For Computers

While developing the Windows 8 operating system, Microsoft has made a big bet that the introduction of touch capabilities to personal computers will surely help to revive an industry that was being eaten away by tablet PCs and smartphones. The Creative Strategies president Tim Bajarin said that his research has revealed that making touch an important part of the personal computers was a big strategic issue on the part of Microsoft. This decision has resulted in many Windows 8 problems.

The reason is that computer users are very much used to using the mouse and keyboard and they see no advantage in touching the screen to get the work done. The touch interface makes sense for smaller portable devices like tablets and smartphones but does not make much sense for personal computers with larger displays that already have track pads or mouse.

Bajarin said, “While adding touch input to screens is not a bad thing, people being able to adapt quickly to touch as a primary form of user interface input on larger PCs does not happen overnight.” “Early on, Apple’s scientists studied the kinesiology of arm movements in relationship to keyboards and mice, and concluded that implementing any gestures into the user interface worked best through a trackpad. The company also determined that picking the hand up from the keyboard area and moving it to touch the screen was unnatural, and factored that into the final decision to add gestures to the Magic Trackpad instead,” he added.

There are numerous Windows 8 problems, which have made Microsoft to do a reroll on its latest experiment. Most of the issues with the Windows 8 operating system have been due to a poor hands-on experience or just because the tile interface does not fit the existing definition of how a PC should work. The huge number of user complaints and comments has made the Microsoft team to do a bit of rebranding. The plan for the Windows 8 OS was that the this single operating system would be equally used on home PCs, tablets, flip and fold hybrids, non-touch laptops, and anything in between. However, the operating system did not serve the cause as Microsoft expected.

Another issue was the missing Start button. Many of the users were not satisfied with the touch interface and the missing Start button, which made Microsoft to reintroduce the Start button with the Windows 8.1 update. If you would like to know more on the problems with the Windows 8 OS, you can visit the Microsoft support center.
