Installing And Sharing Apps In Windows 8 OS

Microsoft has introduced many changes in the Windows 8 operating system. Many of these changes were made specifically so that the Windows operating system could catch up with its counterparts. Some of these changes were designed to put the Windows 8 devices one-step ahead of Mac operating system devices, iPad and the Android devices. The Charms Bar of the operating system that has built in sharing features is a good design change.

Before the release of the Windows 8, users only had one way to share items on Facebook and Twitter. In simple words, users had to open a web browser and then make use of the service’s system to share videos, photos, and the status updates with their contacts and friends. It appears that when the Microsoft engineers examined the habits of the users before making Windows 8, they realized that millions of users across the globe were all finding different ways of doing the same thing and at times, those ways were not as straight forward as they could be.

The new way of sharing that is introduced by the Windows 8 operating system has made many Windows users to Install Windows 8 operating system in their computers. This sharing method will allow the users to head to a single place each time they need to share information with their family and friends. Sharing things like links, web pages, and images work exactly the same way as taking screenshots. To do this, open the app that you would like the share from. In Windows 8, Internet Explorer is the default web browser. After locating what you would like to search, place your finger on the right edge of the screen and swipe to the left if you are using a touch-enabled device. If you are using a mouse and keyboard, place your cursor on the top right corner of the screen to reveal the Charms Bar. Now, you can click on the Share button and then select the app that you would like to share.

Microsoft Extends Installation Date For Windows 8.1 Update 1

Recently, Microsoft announced that the company has extended the deadline for installing the Windows 8.1 update 1 by 30 days for the existing Windows 8 users. So, the users who haven’t still upgraded to Windows 8.1 will get the next patch updates along with the main update. The “Update 1” for Windows 8.1 is focused on making the operating system more user-friendly and simpler for the users.

When Windows 8 was launched around two years ago, many users did not know how to upgrade to Windows 8. Issues like these heavily affected on the sales of the operating system and made users to rely on the older versions. Microsoft did not want Windows 8.1 to have the same fate as of its predecessor and thus, the company included several user-friendly apps as well as basic features in the OS that were excluded in Windows 8. Now, by releasing an update of the Windows 8.1 operating system, Microsoft wants to ensure that the users stick on with the Windows community and get access to various futuristic options rather than complicated features. Windows 8.1 also offers enhanced security features, which ensures better protection for the system.

However, once the first Windows 8.1 update was released, several users expressed their concerns over installing the platform in their systems. According to the Windows tech support team, mostly those users who did not know how to upgrade to Windows 8 earlier were the ones with the same issue with the new update. However, Microsoft claims that updating Windows 8.1 is a relatively simple process. And this is the very reason why the software giant has now extended the installation date for the Update 1. Nevertheless, even this might not help in the sales of Windows 8.1, as surprisingly, some users have decided to not to update their systems at all without any particular reason.

Microsoft posted on the official site confirming the news about the extension of the installation date for Windows 8.1 update, and said that although the update has been made available to all, not everyone has installed it. In order to give them more time, the company has extended the install date for Update 1 of Windows 8.1 by 30 days. By extending the date for installing the Windows 8.1 update, it is certain that Microsoft is foreseeing a great improvement in the sales of Windows 8.1 OS.
